The Advocacy set up sheet is one way you can register your case under the Unemployment Insurance Advocacy Program. The Advocacy Program provides free representation to employers and employees for most types of unemployment hearings through advocates that have been qualified under the program.
Baig & Associates PC. is qualified under this program. We only represent employers and get our fee directly from the State through the Advocacy Program for representing employers at unemployment hearings.
To know if your case qualifies under the Advocacy Program, fill out the Advocacy Employer Set Up Sheet above (only the double-asterisk items) and either fax (313-456-2316) or call the Advocacy Program (313-456-2314). You can get most of the information to complete the form from your Notice of Hearing(s). Please note that you may get more than one Hearing Notice for a case scheduled at the same time. The reason is because there may be several different issues scheduled to be heard at the same time. Include all the appeal numbers on the set up sheet so that the Advocacy Program can determine what qualifies for representation under the Program.
